Since 2023, the Eggetaler Rundwanderweg has been enriched by another highlight. In the district of Börninghausen, the association "Wir im Eggetal" (We in the Eggetal) has reactivated the Bärenquelle (Bear Spring) and created a resting place with a view into the Eggetal.
The name Bärenquelle comes from the Low German and stands for Beer and Welle - cold water.
For cyclists and hikers there are benches and tables and a forest sofa for a relaxing break. A shelter allows protection in case of rain.
